The Australian Institute of Architecture annually holds the Australian Architecture Conference 2024 to connect with committee members.
This year we were invited to attend at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Australian Architecture Conference for 2024 has now concluded, and what an event it was! Over the course of the conference, we had the privilege of hearing from 19 internationally acclaimed keynote speakers.
We explored Melbourne through architectural tours. We also participated in engaging panel discussions on key industry issues. Additionally, we celebrated the achievements of our 2024 Prize Winners.
The conference ran from Thursday, 9 May to Saturday, 11 May. During this time, attendees earned 10 CPD points and had the chance to interact with some of the most influential figures in architecture. On the first day, we showcased panels with six leading keynote speakers, including Paul Monaghan, Dana Cuff, Nigel Bertram, Barbara Bestor, Yasmeen Lari, and Alberto Veiga.
Hearing from our Award Winners was truly inspiring. Each recipient delivered impactful addresses immediately after receiving their accolades.
Day two was equally dynamic, featuring six Action Panel Discussions and nine keynote addresses. Moreover, we also held The Australian Institute of Architects’ Annual General Meeting, where we welcomed our 2024-25 National President, Jane Cassidy, and our 2025-26 National President-Elect, Adam Haddow.
A heartfelt thank you to all the new and old faces we saw at Australian Architecture Conference 2024.
