Manly House 3

Description

Discover the stunning transformation of a late Victorian Timber Workers Cottage in Manly. Here, M+M Architects embarked on a mission to seamlessly integrate a first-floor addition while preserving the home’s original character.

Upstairs, the addition includes three bedrooms and two bathrooms, providing ample space for family retreats. We carefully ensured that the new structure seamlessly blends with the charm of the original cottage, offering modern comfort and functionality while maintaining respect for its historical roots.

Downstairs, our team meticulously redesigned the layout to create an expansive open-plan living area. By connecting the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, we enhanced natural light and airflow throughout the home. This transformation not only improves the livability of the space but also creates a more inviting environment for everyday activities.

One of the highlights of the renovation is the addition of a garden pool, surrounded by lush greenery. This tranquil oasis serves as a perfect retreat for relaxation and outdoor enjoyment, further enhancing the home’s appeal and livability.

Our architectural approach was centered on preserving the cottage’s heritage integrity while adapting it for contemporary living. The seamless blend of old-world charm with modern conveniences ensures that the home maintains its historical significance while meeting the needs of modern families.

Ultimately, this Victorian Timber Cottage in Manly exemplifies our commitment to creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. By respecting the past and embracing the future, we have transformed this Victorian cottage into a warm and inviting sanctuary that our clients can cherish for years to come.
