North Curl Curl House 1

Description

M+M Architects are excited to present our North Curl Curl House renovation.

This residential renovation project on the Western Hill of North Curl Curl. Our mission was to transform low, damp, cold, and dark unrenovated rooms into a light-filled, inviting family haven. Inspired by our clients’ vision, we created a space that seamlessly blends indoor comfort with outdoor serenity.

To revitalise the interior, we embarked on a comprehensive renovation. We excavated natural rock formations in the basement to lower the floor area, creating a sleek, modern polished concrete slab. Reinventing the external walls and adding a strategic drainage ditch around the perimeter ensured optimal moisture management and structural integrity. Expansive catch sliders along the northern elevation flood the interiors with natural light, creating a seamless connection to the outdoors. A new timber deck, complemented by a retaining wall and daybed, invites residents to relax and enjoy sun-drenched vistas.

The result is a home with a natural open flow, allowing easy navigation from the front kitchen to the spacious family room. This thoughtful redesign maximises space, enhances sun penetration, and improves thermal efficiency, ensuring year-round comfort for the entire family.

This North Curl Curl House renovation showcases our commitment to creating homes that meet our clients’ practical needs while elevating their everyday living experience. By reimagining the space and embracing the natural beauty of its surroundings, we’ve transformed this residence into a sanctuary of warmth, light, and tranquility—a true reflection of Australian coastal living at its finest.
